We would love to introduce you to Aon, one of The Q Foundation’s brightest stars. Aon is 14 years old and lives with her grandmother in the village of Kaper. Despite having to endure much adversity at her young age, she is studious, fiercely independent and has a joy and zest for life that inspires us.

While Aon’s grandmother is happy to care for her, being in her old age, she finds it difficult to provide for Aon. Seeing her struggles we were more than happy to step in and help her give Aon the life she deserves.

Being the passionate, ambitious young lady she is, Aon’s dream is to be a doctor, so who better to sponsor Aon than a doctor – Dr Phillip Foure and Bruce Hargreaves!
Caring for Aon as if she was their own, Phillip and Bruce surprised her with a bike for her 13th birthday. Living on the outskirts of the village, it was a long journey for Aon to walk to and from school, but now with her new bike she’s able to get around faster. Needless to say Aon loves it and puts it to good use each day!
At school, Aon is attentive and is maintaining good grades. She loves to use the computer we have set up in the village and if we are to believe what we have been told, she uses it the most!
Through school, Aon has been learning how to allocate and save her money, and was able to put her new found budgeting skills to use in lead up to the province dance. She diligently saved up to get dressed up for the night.
While we are pleased to say The Q Foundation has certainly changed the course of Aon’s life, what we didn’t expect was how much she would impact ours.
Speaking of Aon, David Webb smiles, “Aon is a smart and passionate young lady who gives her all to everything she does. She has a very bright future!”
As for Jen, “Aon is an extraordinary resilient young lady. To face the adversities she has with such grace and strength, while still be inspired by life, inspires me.”
